Universities

Roskilde University (RUC)

Roskilde University (RUC) is a Danish public university founded in 1972 and located 25 km west of Copenhagen. Roskilde University offers higher education at bachelor, master, and PhD levels within four main areas: humanities, humanistic technologies, social science and science.

Copenhagen Business School (CBS)

At Copenhagen Business School (CBS), you can choose between 18 bachelor programmes, more than 30 graduate programmes and PhDs each with  their own specialisation. Our programmes have a strong and internationally renowned research base, and you will find a number of programmes combining business studies with politics, sociology, language, IT, communication and more.

Technical University of Denmark (DTU)

The Technical University of Denmark (DTU) is a leading technical university with a world-class reputation. One fifth of DTU's scientific staff is recruited internationally and an increasing number of the students are also from abroad. DTU has contributed to Denmark achieving a leading position within Technical Design, Wind Energy, Biotechnology, Electronics and Communication Technologies.

Aarhus University (AU)

Aarhus University offers over 50 English taught courses from a wide range of subject areas at Bachelor’s and Master’s level, and all our PhD’s are English taught. Around 12% of our students are international – from 120 different countries.

Aalborg University (AAU)

Aalborg University (AAU) has been providing students with academic excellence, cultural engagement and personal development since its inception in 1974. It offers education and research within the fields of natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, technical and health sciences.

University of Copenhagen (UCPH)

With over 38,000 students and more than 9,000 employees, the University of Copenhagen is one of the largest institutions of research and education in the Nordic countries. The University offers more than 200 study programmes in health sciences, humanities, law, life sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, natural sciences, social sciences, and theology.


University of Southern Denmark (SDU)

The University of Southern Denmark (SDU) offers world class education and is committed to an international perspective, at all levels. The largest campus is located in the city of Odense (Funen) and other campuses are located in the cities of Kolding, Esbjerg, Sønderborg (Jutland) and Slagelse (Zealand).

IT University of Copenhagen (ITU)

The IT University of Copenhagen is an independent educational and research institution, dedicated to the digital world. The university works to make Denmark exceptionally good at making value through IT by providing contemporary study programmes and research at the highest academic level.

The Royal Opera Academy

Aarhus School of Architecture

The Aarhus School of Architecture is an institution under the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Our aim is to educate architects who can develop the physical environment of the future by engaging with society.

We offer teaching at Bachelor, Master and PhD level within architecture and areas related to the architectural profession. We also offer a range of continuing education and specialised courses.

Funen Art Academy

Funen Art Academy is a higher education institution offering a long- cycle higher education programme in visual arts.

The programme is a full-time study programme and students are entitled to SU during the education, if they meet the requirements.

The Basic Module (1st-3rd year) corresponds to 180 credits and the Advanced Module (4the - 5th year) corresponds to 120 credits.

The Royal Academy of Music - Aarhus/Aalborg

The Royal Academy of Music - Aarhus/Aalborg is a state institution under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Culture. The programmes measure up to the best comparable courses on offer abroad and they cover both classical, jazz/pop and electronic music. The Academy train students for careers as professional musicians and composers, as solo performers or as music teachers.

Design School Kolding

Design School Kolding is an independent institution under the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. The school trains designers at undergraduate and graduate levels. 

The Royal Danish Academy of Music

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) specialises in the education and training of classical musicians at the highest international level. The Academy offers programmes in Music Performance, Instrument and Voice, as well as in Composition, Conducting and Sound Engineering, and electives in subjects such as Pedagogy and Church Music. RDAM has an extensive international network and cooperates with some of the world’s leading music academies. More than 200 concerts are staged each year at the academy making RDAM an integral part of Copenhagen’s music life. 

National Film School of Denmark

The National Film School of Denmark is a state school, supported by the Danish Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

Students learn the craft of filmmaking to ensure their future employment in the professional film and media industry. The teaching also aims to develop and support each student's unique, personal, artistic talent.

In order to be admitted to the National Film School of Denmark you MUST be able to speak and understand Danish.

Danish National Academy of Music

Syddansk Musikkonservatorium (SDMK) - Danish National Academy of Music is a higher education Institution (HEI) under the Danish Ministry of Culture. We offer a wide array of educations at the very highest level within the field of music and music pedagogics. SDMK is located in two major cities in Southern Denmark, Odense and Esbjerg and has approximately 260 students incl. a large number of international students, about fifty full time teachers and some hundred affiliated part time. 

Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC)

Rhythmic Music Conservatory (RMC) offers the highest education in contemporary rhythmic music - a multifaceted concept that embraces widely diverse genres such as rock, pop, jazz, urban, metal and electronic music.

Royal Danish Academy - Architecture, Design and Conservation

The Royal Danish Academy is Scandinavia's leading academy in the fields of architecture, design and conservation, educating tomorrow's architects, designers and conservators. Teaching is based on a core "DNA" of science, practice and art. The academy offers a range of bachelor and master programmes in architecture, design and conservation, as well as an active PhD and research environment.

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Art

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Visual Art is an internationally-oriented educational and research institution continuing a more than 250-year-old tradition of developing artistic talent and enterprise to the highest standards, based upon the independent work of each individual student. 



The Danish National School of Performing Arts

The Danish National School of Performing Arts welcomes students from all parts of the world. The school offers several artistic programmes with students from many different countries. 

University Colleges

Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX)

Danish School of Media and Journalism is a training and knowledge center for the media and communications sector with a focus on talent, lifelong learning and innovation.

University College South Denmark

University College South Denmark offers a wide range of higher education study programmes and courses at all levels, with an emphasis on first-cycle Professional Bachelor Degrees in the field of Educational Sciences, Health Sciences, Social Sciences and Communication Sciences. Geographically, University College South Denmark covers Southern Jutland and has more than 6,500 students and 700 members of staff. 

University College of Northern Denmark (UCN)

University College of Northern Denmark is a university of applied science which offers Academy Profession degree (AP), Professional Bachelor degree (PBA) and top-up degree for Danish and international students. They are all accredited by The Danish Accreditation Institution and lead to career within business, education/social studies, health and technology.
Our 14 English-taught programmes are located in Aalborg, known for its vibrant student life.

University College Absalon

University College Absalon is a regional institution, covering the geographical area of Region Zealand.
University College Absalon emphasizes high professionalism, a vibrant study environment, and international collaboration with approximately 8,500 students and 650 employees located at 7 campuses.  

UCL University College

UCL University College offers more than 40 academy and professional higher education programmes within Business and Technology, Education and Social Sciences and Health Sciences contributing to the ongoing development of society. Geographically, UCL University College covers part of the Southern Region of Denmark and has approximately 11,000 students and 1,000 employees. 

University College Copenhagen

University College Denmark (KP) offers high quality study programmes and applied research activities that help improve our welfare - and we believe that international collaboration is a key driver for opening our minds, strengthening our knowledge and improving our daily work.

VIA University College

VIA University College is one of Denmark's largest university college with 8 modern campuses in 7 different cities across the Central Denmark Region. VIA offers more than 40 study programmes in English in e.g. engineering, health, social education, construction, design, business and animation. We have around 18,500 students of which more than 2,800 are internationals.



Schools of Maritime Education & Training

Svendborg International Maritime Academy (SIMAC)

SIMAC is Denmark’s largest maritime educational institution with 500 students and 90 highly educated and motivated employees. SIMAC offers three fields of study

Aarhus school of Maritime and Technical Engineering

Aarhus School of Marine and Technical Engineering educates Marine and Technical Engineers in a stimulating learning environment with the aim of providing the students with in-demand and up-to-date competences.

Copenhagen School of Maritime Education and Training

The Copenhagen School of Marine Engineering and Technology Management has educated marine engineers since 1906. There are approximately 500 students and 40 employees.

Maritime Training and Education Centre (MARTEC)

MARTEC is the maritime and polytechnic education center in northern Denmark.

Danish Business Academies

Zealand - Academy of Technologies and Business

ZEALAND Academy of Technologies and Business is a self-governed public institution (Academy) under the supervision of the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. An academy in the Danish context is similar to a University of applied sciences.  

ZEALAND is located in the Zealand region (Greater Copenhagen Area) just outside Copenhagen. ZEALAND has a regional mandate why we have a campus structure with five campuses covering the island of Zealand. 

International Business Academy (IBA)

From our roots in a trade school going back more than a century, today's IBA offers a range of international degree programmes taught in English, at AP, Bachelor and Master level covering a range of subjects in business, marketing, management and web-development.

Dania Academy

Dania Academy is one of Denmark's higher education institutions. With over 5000 students, both full-time and part-time, the Academy was officially established on January 1st, 2009. At the Academy, students can choose to study in English or Danish in a diverse international environment. In addition, the Academy offers guaranteed accommodation/housing facilities for students. 

Business Academy Aarhus

Business Academy Aarhus is one of the largest business academies in Denmark and is a School of Applied Sciences. In European countries, this is an English-language term for institutions of higher education with a more practical focus. Copenhagen Business Academy

Copenhagen Business Academy (Cphbusiness) is located in Copenhagen and is the largest business academy in Denmark with +650 International students from +50 nationalities. 

Cphbusiness offers degree programmes at undergraduate level (no Master’s degrees or PhD programmes) within business, IT, sport, innovation and hospitality.

At Cphbusiness, students learn how to use academic theory in practice. Teamwork, case studies and mandatory internship placement are key components in all study programmes.

KEA - Copenhagen School of Design and Technology

KEA - Copenhagen School of Design and Technology is an Academy of Higher Education which offers over 30 different educational programmes at Bachelor degree and Academy Professional degree levels.
