Description

The Bachelor in Global Humanities programme at Roskilde University begins with a one year basic section of interdisciplinary studies. The last two years you will specialise in two bachelor subjects.

The basic section in Humanities (60 ECTS) gives you an international and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the humanities. By drawing on the disciplines of philosophy, cultural studies, development studies, communication studies, media studies, linguistics, literary studies, history, educational studies and psychology, you explore shifting boundaries, hybrid identities and new cultural formations in the global society.

In the last two years (120 ECTS), you will specialise in two bachelor subjects:
The Bachelor in Global Humanities gives you an international and interdisciplinary approach to the study of the humanities.

Much of our understanding of the humanities has been shaped by the role of the nation in defining how we live and understand the world. Bachelor in Global Humanities explores this but also examine shifting boundaries, hybrid identities and new cultural formations that are emerging as 'global encounters' intensify.

Description

The International Bachelor in Natural Sciences programme at Roskilde University begins with a one year basic section of interdisciplinary studies. The last two years you will specialise in two bachelor subjects.

During the basic section (60 ECTS), you will become familiar with key natural science theories, methods and models, while studying in an international environment. Through your project work, you will learn the basic methods for how to examine nature using experiments, analyses and models.

In the last two years (120 ECTS), you will specialise in two bachelor subjects:
The International Bachelor in Natural Science offers you the opportunity to study natural science in an international environment. Foreign students make up 80% of the programme’s participants, so you will become part of an exciting study environment that will prepare you to work with a broad range of nationalities in international companies and organizations.

From the very first day, the project work will teach you to think and work based on research. Each term, you will formulate a specific science problem in collaboration with your team. At the end of the term, you must present a research-based solution that is based on scientific literature and preferably on your own experiments. Each of your projects will have a researcher assigned, who will act as your supervisor throughout the process.

Description

The International Bachelor in Social Sciences programme at Roskilde University begins with a one year basic section of interdisciplinary studies. The last two years you will specialise in one or two bachelor subjects. On the basic section in Social Sciences, you will work with a number of social science subjects and learn about economics, political systems and social relations in society. You will acquire knowledge of key social science concepts, theories and methods from an international perspective.   In the last two years (120 ECTS), you will specialise in one or two bachelor subjects: The International Bachelor in Social Sciences is about investigating, understanding and explaining the social, economic and political conditions in society from an international perspective.

There are both foreign and Danish students on the programme, and the courses and project work have an international focus. The teachers on the programme are supervisors with both a Danish and foreign background. This provides a good opportunity to work with cross-cultural issues.

You can immerse yourself in the areas you find most interesting in your project work, where you choose which problems you want to work with, and you will also have the opportunity to collaborate with organizations or companies.
