Almost 8,000 international applicants

The application deadline came and went, and the applications have been counted. Almost 8,000 applicants with non-Danish citizenship have applied for a place in a English-taught study programme in Denmark.

March 15th is the most important date of the year if you wish to be enrolled in a study programme at a Danish higher education institution. This date marks the deadline for applications via quota 2 - which is the way international students apply.

In quota 2, 7,988 applications out of a total of 56,675 were sent by an applicant with a citizenship other than Danish. The almost 8,000 applications are for a place in one of the English-taught study programmes at a Danish higher education institution. However the full overview of number of applicants, including all applicants with Danish citizenship, will not be available until July, when quota 1 applications are received and processed.

All applicants will receive an answer by the end of July.
