University College Absalon is a regional institution, covering the geographical area of Region Zealand. University College Absalon has approximately 8,500 students and 650 employees at seven campuses in the cities of Roskilde, Slagelse, Næstved, Holbæk, Kalundborg, Vordingborg and Nykøbing Falster. All campuses are easily reached from Copenhagen, only from 30 minutes to 1 ½ hour by train.
With thirteen professional bachelor degree programs, two of which are also taught in English, University College Absalon is the central driver for education and growth in the region. Degrees currently offered in English are 'Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology' and 'Professional Bachelor's Degree in Education (a Bachelor of Education).
