Description

The Asian economies and markets continue to grow. Companies are not only moving their production to Asia; they are also looking at Asian countries and companies as trading partners in other ways.

BSc in International Business in Asia, IBA, teaches you to manage the fundamentally different challenges businesses face when they work with Asian markets or companies. This unique programme combines business expertise with Asian political, economic and cultural insight and Chinese or Japanese language skills.

Career Opportunities

Most BSc IBA graduates end up in jobs where there is some sort of Asian dimension or other international dimensions and many work with something that has both a business and a societal perspective.

The clear majority of students from BSc IBA continue on to a two-year master’s programme for a total of five years of study.

About the degree

BSc in IBA includes a significant language component and you will have to choose between two languages:
  • Mandarin Chinese
  • Japanese
Understanding one of these languages is an important additional key to gaining a deeper understanding of Asian culture.

The unique four-year structure of the programme allows students to spend two full semesters in Asia. All students participate in a structured exchange at a university in China or Japan during the fourth semester. In addition, you can spend the seventh semester on individual exchange.
