Description

This programme focuses on the sustainable utilization of the aquatic environment and its resources, and the development of sustainable aquaculture production. It centres on fisheries, oceanography, and the management of aquatic resources—and addresses the challenges associated with sustainable fisheries and aquaculture as well as the maintenance of healthy ecosystems under changing environments.

The MSc Eng programme provides you with unique interdisciplinary competences for working with environmental and sustainability issues. These qualifications are in high demand among companies and organizations involved in aquatic resource research, consultancy, and management.

DTU Hirtshals Campus

Description

DTU Hirtshals Campus is located in northern Denmark, 70 km from Aalborg. The campus is home to top-of-the-class research within aquaculture and fisheries technology and houses two DTU study programmes. 

DTU Hirtshals Campus lies by the sea in one of Denmark's most important fishing towns. DTU has a long history of academic research in fisheries and aquaculture in Hirtshals, and since 2023 DTU Hirtshals Campus has been home to a MSc and a BEng study programme.Here students have a unique chance to study near the Danish fishing and aquaculture industry with access to exciting fieldwork and modern facilities for projects and experimental academic work.

DTU Hirtshals Campus is located at North Sea Science Park and the campus includes two auditoriums, teaching facilities, a chemistry lab, test and equipment facilities, a climate room and more.
