The degree programme in Occupational Therapy covers education and research in enabling people to participate in activities of everyday life

We accept exchange students for clinical placement in English. The full-degree programme is taught in Danish.
We provide our students with knowledge of occupational-therapy theories on the interaction between people, activities and environment. They will learn to use different assessment tools and acquire knowledge of physical and mental illnesses, pedagogy, psychology, sociology, anatomy and physiology, IT and communication as well as management.

We combine high academic skills with clinical experiences within the social and health care sector, applying academic learning to a “real life” context. Students will continuously learn in an iterative process combining theory and practice in a fruitful and contemporary way involving citizens, professionals and the surrounding society, nationally and internationally.

Communication and interaction between the client and the occupational therapist is one of the cornerstones in our profession. We aim to nourish the students’ development of these qualities and skills, targeting occupational therapy to people in all stages of life, in both mono- and inter-professional contexts.

The ethical basis of our degree programme refers to the ethical guidelines set out by the Association of Danish Occupational Therapy and the World Federation of Occupational Therapy.
