Description

The 2-year MSc in Computer Science is a programme for you who have an IT-related undergraduate degree and wish to develop your skills and knowledge in computer science on a high, academic level based on international research.

The programme focuses on business needs, and you will work on projects concerning software development and maintenance of software. You will also learn about the organizational and managerial part of a development process.

As a student of Computer Science, you want to get access to cutting edge knowledge within computer science. Entry requirements

To apply to the MSc in Computer Science, you need a university bachelor’s degree or a professional bachelor’s degree. If you have a different education (e.g. an international education), which is comparable to a university or professional bachelor’s degree, ITU will make an individual assessment of the education in question. In all cases, admission requires an educational background related to computer science or software development, which has included a significant amount of programming, foundations and software engineering.

Description

With an MSc in Data Science from the IT University of Copenhagen you will become a lead data scientist with advanced analytical and technical skills covering all aspects of handling, analyzing, presenting and operationalizing data.

You will build on your bachelor degree and further specialise the skills and knowledge that you acquired: You will gain profound mathematical and algorithmic foundations for deep understanding of emerging technologies, statistics and computational challenges. Description

With the three-year BSc in Data Science, you will become the next generation analyst – a data scientist with comprehensive analytical and technical skills covering all aspects of handling and analysing data. The programme is taught in English.

During the programme, you will receive extenseive teaching in the technical subjects as mathematics and statistics for data sciences, programming, machine learning, algorithms development, and data management as well as in social science applications, research methods, data visualisation, communication, and critical reflection. After your first year, you will choose between two tracks:

• The technical track
• The business track

With a BSc in Data Science, you are qualified to apply for admission to the following of the IT University’s two-year MSc programmes:

• The business track guarantees you access to the MSc programme in Digital Innovation & Management.
• The technical track guarantees you access to the MSc in Software Development and qualifies you for entry to the MSc programme in Games.

About the Degree

To apply for admission to the BSc in Data Science, you are required to have an upper secondary education or corresponding foreign or international qualification. Specific admission requirements:

• Mathematics corresponding to the Danish A-level with an average mark of at least 6 on the Danish 7-point marking scale of the marks included in the subject on your certificate.
• English corresponding to the Danish B-level with an average mark of at least 6 on the Danish 7-point marking scale of the marks included in the subject on your certificate (there is no grade requirement if you have passed English corresponding the Danish A-level).

Description

The MSc in Games deals with computer games both on a theoretical and a practical level. You will study the cultural significance of computer games, how to contribute to the development of a computer game and how to adapt the commercial potential of games to other communication and media domains.

All students have regular co-education and do several projects together, but as your studies progress, you will specialise in one of the academic tracks.
