TOP TALENT DENMARK IN CHINA AND HONG KONG - A SUCESSFUL BATTLE FOR TALENTED STUDENTS
The Denmark Days are a part of the initiative Top Talent Denmark that aims at attracting talented students to come to Denmark to study or pursue a career at a Danish company. The global completion for recruiting talented students from China and Hong Kong is fierce, but the Danish higher education institutions and companies are together telling a great story of Denmark as a great career and education institution.
Two well-attended education and career fairs in Shanghai and Beijing the past week shows that the story of Denmark as a good place to study, life and work is beginning to be well-known among the students at the best higher education institutions in China and Hong Kong. The partners in Top Talent Denmark – the Danish higher education institutions and companies – meet face-to-face with more than 1200 engaged Chinese students at the Top Talent Denmark Days is Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong.
The Denmark Days fairs were days of interaction between Chinese students and representatives from Danish higher education institutions and companies. Interesting presentations took place, Danish food was served and nice prizes from sponsors of the Top Talent Denmark initiative were won by lucky students.
In relation to Denmark Days two alumni events were arranged at respectively the Danish Consul General Nicolai Prytz’s residence in Shanghai and at the Danish Ambassador A. Carsten Damsgaard’s residence in Beijing. At both events there were cosy and informal atmospheres, where old friends met again and new connections were established.
In addition, Top Talent Denmark and the Danish higher education representatives also participated in the annual China Education Expo, where they at a Top Talent Denmark stand had the possibility to promote their educations in a global competitive setting.
After the participation in China Education Expo five Danish higher education institutions continued the promotion tour to Hong Kong, where the prestigious Hong Kong Polytechnic University hosted a Denmark Day event at their campus. Around 150 students came by the fair and learned about all the interesting possibilities there are to come and study in Denmark.
