“My job is to make sure that things run smoothly”

Ziggy Fromberg is a student of musicology, and chairs the QA Programme.

“My job is to make sure that things run smoothly. Next semester we will have about 145 mentees and 60 mentors. Every semester, we recruit new volunteers – students who want to engage with foreign students and help them, while they are here. That is the hardest part of the job. When the volunteers are found, it gets easier.”

QA Programme organizes big events for all mentees and mentors. They have two rooms on the first floor, where the QA Programme has space for meetings, studying, chatting and just chilling.

Every semester the volunteers arrange events as orientation dinner to introduce the programme, trips to Tivoli, the fun fair in the middle of Copenhagen and a candle light dinner, where international and Danish students from all faculties at University of Copenhagen dine together.

Personally, Ziggy Fromberg started as a mentor and later became part of the board.

“I feel at ease here, and we are like a big family – especially the people in the board of the programme. We help each other as well as the mentors and mentees,” she says.
