This programme provides you with an essential understanding of key areas such as international business strategy, globalisation and international marketing. 

Career Opportunities  

The courses offer a unique combination of theory and practice to ensure a solid theoretical basis and tools readily employable in your first job. Students will gain competencies in analysing rules and regulations imposed by governments in order to pursue careers in a number of areas including market research, imports, consultancy, exporting services, marketing, direct marketing and distribution management. Finally, students will become skilled in using methods, which can support a career in international (or domestic) markets by means of working with a large multinational, a smaller company, or even new ventures.  

About the Degree

The focus area of this programme is International Business and Marketing. Students of this profile will gain insight into and knowledge about different aspects of marketing, retailing, services, business-to-business, marketing research as well as knowledge on other functional areas that influence management decisions in marketing. In addition, students will gain knowledge about and skills in using methods and tools, which can support a career in marketing, sales, advertising or media related jobs. This profile provides you with an advanced understanding of the international business environment by developing global perspectives on business based on in-depth knowledge of the various national and cultural contexts in which firms operate.

The profile prepares the students for classical positions in international business both in large corporations as well as in SMEs. The programme comprises six compulsory courses in the first two semesters (60 ECTS), 30 ECTS to be collected in elective courses in the third semester, and the master thesis in the fourth semester (30 ECTS). The compulsory courses offer insights into international business strategy, international strategic partnerships, international organizational structures, marketing channels and international entrepreneurship and provide relevant analytical or method skills.We offer a rich portfolio of elective courses at SDU that you can use to customize your study programme. You can also use the third semester to study abroad for which SDU has many partners.

Admission  

Applicants with a BSc in Economics and Business Administration from a University are qualified for admission. Applicants with a professional bachelor degree and other qualifying degrees may have access provided certain demands are fulfilled. In order for a degree to be deemed as a BSc programme in Economics and Business Administration, the applicant must have a bachelor degree from a university including a minimum of 75 ECTS courses within economics and business administration.

Tuition Fees and Scholarships

No tuition fees for EU/EEA/Swiss students.
There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside of EU/EAA/Switzerland.
