Description   

This top-up programme covers the technical and theoretical aspects of software development, such as system integration and database development.You gain the knowledge and skills needed to participate in large IT development projects. You also learn to use various databases and to further develop existing systems. On the project management course, you learn to manage and communicate software development processes.

The Bachelor programme in Software Development is a 1½ year top-up programme for students that have completed an AP degree in Computer Science or equivalent. The professional Bachelor’s degree in Software Development is an advanced course based on the Computer Science programme. This programme is ideal if you would like to take part in the design and construction of large data-heavy, distributed IT systems. The focus of the programme is to build large IT systems. You will learn how to handle the back-end part of big, distributed IT systems based on large databases. 

Career Opportunities     

Graduates are quaified to work with a variety of jobs in the IT industry, e.g. system developer, project manager or security consultant.

The programme will give you competences that enable you to participate in the
development of technical design and realisation of systems in a distributed 
environment. It also focuses on the application of widespread methods and 
technologies. As a Professional Bachelor in Software Development you will be able 
to undertake functions as Systems Developer/Architect in connection with the 
development of large distributed systems.

About the Degree   

The top-up degree extends an already acquired Academy Profession programme to a related or prespecified Bachelor level. The top-up option is only available to a subset of AP degrees and offered as a 90 ECTS supplement with a resulting degree of Professional Bachelor.   

Admission     

In order to enter the BA top-up you need to have an AP Degree in Multimedia
Designer or the Datamatician AP programmes.

Tuition 

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students outside EU, EAA, or from Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
