DescriptionWhat are the total costs and benefits of building a new airport in Berlin? Should farmers in Bangladesh receive direct financial support, or just price guarantees? How many cars will need a parking space in Copenhagen in 2025?
These and other increasingly complex problems in international contexts have spurred a growing demand for international economic consulting services. These problems are situated on the borderline between economics and management, and these are the types of issues that students in the International Economic Consulting programme will attempt to solve.
Career OpportunitiesGraduates of this programme are not limited to a career in finance – they are equipped with a broad set of skills that gives them access to many different careers. Alumni have made careers for themselves at organisations such as the German central bank, consulting firms around the world, NGOs, ministries, and local municipalities. Many students choose to do an internship during their third semester, which often leads to a full- or part-time job after graduation. Some go on to earn PhDs. Even the professors are sometimes surprised at the different career options their students choose.
