More than 2000 international students admitted studying in Denmark
On 28 July 2026 2065, international students got the news that they have been admitted to an English-taught higher education study programme in Denmark.
More than half of those admitted are from other EU/EEA countries and Switzerland. 247 are from Nordic countries and 262 are from countries outside the EU/EEA.
In this context, international students are applicants who hold foreign citizenship and have a foreign upper-secondary qualification. The definition therefore covers students who have completed their qualifying education outside of Denmark, and are applying for an English-taught study programme in Denmark.
Numbers on the different study programmes - and where are the master's?
The majority of the 2065 international students have been admitted to bachelor’s programmes, with 1666 students starting one of these. 297 have been admitted to professional bachelor’s programmes and 102 to academy profession programmes There are no students listed for master’s programmes, as admission to these takes place separately through the individual universities and is not included in ‘the Coordinated Admission system’ (Den Koordinerede Tilmelding).
In total, 58.673 applicants have been offered admission to higher education programmes through the Coordinated Admission system (KOT) this year.
