The programme in Global Nutrition and Health consists of a basic year (two semesters) and two and a half years (five semesters) of specialised studies in one of two fields:

1. Public Health Nutrition and Food Policy
The overall aim of this specialisation is to work with health promotion on community level both in Denmark and abroad. Focus is on nutrition and health but also on food production and on the consequences of it. Inequalities in health and nutrition are also important aspects which are seen between different countries but also within specific countries. Therefore, when it comes to problems with under- and malnutrition it is not only related to the developing countries but to the western countries as well.

2. Lifestyle and Health Education
The overall aim of this specialization is to work holistic with health interventions both for individuals and groups. Focus is to obtain skills in motivational communication, management and guidance hence a lot of the education concerns pedagogy, psychology and sociology in order to understand individuals. The core areas of the education are nutrition, physical activity and general health - to consider all the aspects of health and not just one.
