Description

Learn the basics of automated and computerized  production systems, and attain knowledge about how they can be mathematically analyzed in order to set up performance metrics.

You will get acquainted to some of the building blocks of an automated production system via hands-on exercises of programming a PLC and a Robot, and learn how the IT system is supporting and integrating the automation.

Additionally, you will attain knowledge about how to  manage and implement automation by the use of a project model and the use of simulation tools to create digital models of your future automation system.

The course will provide you with competences required for an overall validation of automation engineering issues through insight and knowledge whit in manufacturing IT and basic control technology

Required skills

  • As a general entry requirement, you must have completed two years of studies at university level within a relevant field of study (engineering, science, health sciences). 
  • You must also meet the individual course prerequisites listed under each course description.
  • English language skills equivalent to the Danish B level in English (see section below)

Teaching and Instruction method 

Lectures will introduce the students to the concepts and technologies within automated production systems. During the course the students will perform a number of case studies through which they can test their knowledge, train their skills and develop their competences.

Admission/Tuition
