Summer School 2019: Narratives in and around Organizations

Special program in August – 19-28 August
Weighting: 5 ECTS

Based on a general introduction to central theories and concepts within organizational communication and narratives, the course provides a scientific and research-based introduction to narratives and their use in organizations. The course will pay specific attention to the concept of counter-narratives and their emergence, functions and materiality within an organizational context.

Dennis Schoeneborn (Professor at Copenhagen Business School), who is one of the leading scholars in Organization, Communication, and CSR, is invited as one of our guest speakers.

As a preparation for the course, the students will be asked to:
1. Prepare a short text (500 words) with various definitions of narratives based on literature provided for the course.
2. Bring a case or describe a situation where narratives have been applied in an organizational context.
Exam: A take-home exam to be submitted digitally. This means that you can submit your paper from your home country.
The course will be taught in English.

Exchange students from a partner university pay no tuition. Guest students pay tuition fees. Tuition vary according to course and your nationality. Read more on official website.
