Purpose

The module will focus on how you as a teacher or educator can plan courses where experience and sense perception are essential parts of the pupils’ learning processes, where cultural institutions, local surroundings and the environment are incorporated in learning processes.

As the scope of the module is interdisciplinary, students from a wide range of disciplines are welcome. You will have the possibility to work with your subject area in different activities and sequences. In the module, there will be both classroom work and out of classroom work in the local surroundings, which will be used in a constructive and inspiring way.

The module includes visits and activities in the monument area in Jelling, UNESCO’S world heritage, Christiansfeld and Økolariet in Vejle.

Theoretically, we will dig deeper into the phenomenon ’learning through experience’, and you will be introduced to a didactical thinking called ’GLO’, which is suitable for planning, completion and assessment of learning processes, where surroundings, experiences and sense perceptions are essential elements.
