Do you want to focus on the interplay between politics and public administration and the interaction between different levels of governance in policy making?
The singlesubject master’s programme in International Public Administration and Politics (IPAP) aims to develop highly-skilled professionals who have the knowledge and skills needed to act effectively in an increasingly complex field of public administration and politics. The borders between public sector, private sector and civil society are changing in response to global issues, such as climate change, agriculture and food, economic crises and migration. In this inter-connected world, decision-making is increasingly taking place in a multilevel governance setting involving municipalities, regions, states and international organisations, such as the EU.The programme focuses on how Europe and the Western World respond to these challenges and the role of the involved actors in different governance levels, comparing these both horizontally and vertically.
Typical tasks for IPAP graduates will include preparing and managing collaborative cross-border and transnational projects dealing with common policy problems in fields which could include environmental sustainability, transportation, education, social welfare, trade, immigration, security policies and more.
