AP Degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management

Do you want to work with people in an international environment and create great visitor experiences in the hospitality, events, tourism, sports or retail sector? Then the AP Degree in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management is the right choice for you.

After only 2 years of study, you will be skilled within the field of service design and you will know how to stage memorable experiences within the leisure industries. Upon graduation, you can create, plan, coordinate and deliver professional services in an existing company or in a start-up company.  

Career options  

The job opportunities include positions in hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, airlines, event agencies, sports companies, tourist organizations, retail, museums and non-profit organizations. Many of our graduates work in the following type of positions:   

  • Event Coordinator 
  • Conference Manager
  • Restaurant Manager 
  • Travel Consultant 
  • Guest Relation Manager 
  • Booking Coordinator  

Approach to learning

Throughout your studies, you will practice how to find solutions to challenges companies currently face. You will be working on cases and projects, solving real-life problems by applying the theory you have just learned. Trial and error are an essential part of learning at Cphbusiness and you will learn in close collaboration with fellow students and lecturers.  

Your programme includes a 12-week mandatory internship where you will be working full-time for a company. For many students, the internship becomes a stepping-stone to landing their first job upon graduation.  

The program starts twice a year: end of August and end of January.
     

Tuition fees

0 EUR = Free of charge for students who hold a passport from:   
  • EU-countries
  • Nordic countries
  • Iceland
  • Switzerland
  • Lichtenstein  

The full tuition fee for International/Non-EU students is 4350 EUR per semester.  

Scholarships & funding

Cphbusiness does not offer any scholarships.

Application deadlines

The programme starts twice a year.

Summer study start
commences at the end of August.

You can apply from 1 February.  

  • Summer application deadline for non-EU citizens & EU citizens: 15 March at 12 noon (CET)    
Winter study start commences at the end of January.
You can apply from 15 September.  

  • Winter application deadline for non-EU citizens: 29 September at 12 noon (CET)*
  • Winter application deadline for EU citizens: 15 November at 12.00 noon (CET)*

Recognition

All programmes offered by Cphbusiness are recognised by the Danish State and can be used as accreditation for further academic studies. The European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) ensures easy recognition with other European educational institutions.

The AP degree programme lasts 2 years. You will be awarded 120 ECTS points when you have finished the programme. An AP degree enables you to start your working life right away or continue studying for a Bachelor’s degree.

ISCED levels

According to the ISCED (International Standard Classification of Education) scheme, the AP programmes offered at Cphbusiness have the following level:
  • AP degree programmes: Level 5

Cphbusiness Nørrebro houses Cphbusiness study programmes within the field of Service and Experience. The campus is situated in an old factory building. 

The interior is bright, modern and functional, and the decor is well suited for an educational-environment that combines theory and practice. The open areas on each floor are ideal for group work.
