The MSc programme in Industrial Design at Aalborg University focuses on an integrated process of concept design, construction and product development with a high degree of user involvement. Aesthetical competencies and creativity in the design process are combined with knowledge of construction, product development, ergonomics, materials, environment, business and market. 

The industrial design projects and course assignments are often done in collaboration with different companies. Design engineers will be able to work with design and development in a strategic context.

It takes two years to attain a master degree in Industrial Design, and during this time you will meet a wide range of teachers who will present you with new knowledge in key areas. The educational programme is internationally oriented, and attracts Danish as well as international students. Furthermore, the educational programme offers the opportunity of an internship or/and an external study as well as study trips inside and outside Denmark during the semester.

The first two semester in Industrial Design are divided into two course modules and one project module. The last two are one project module each. All courses are conducted in English.

To apply for the MSc. in Industrial Design it is recommended that you enclose a portfolio and a CV. Please take a look at the requirements for the portfolio. The prerequisites for the M.Sc programme include knowledge, skills and competencies with both the design and engineering aspects of product design or development.

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA/Switzerland. Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
