Description

The Global Management and Manufacturing (GMM) programme is for students who wish to work in global management, sourcing, and production. The global perspective is an essential part of the study programme, which also includes a unique mentor programme.

Career Opportunities

Graduates are well prepared for the challenge of international markets. Recent graduates have found employment as production managers, quality engineers, environmental engineers, technical managers, logistics managers, and project managers in both European and globally oriented companies.

About the Degree

The GMM degree is a broad engineering programme that combines the disciplines of production, sourcing, product development, economics, and management. Global markets and companies are in focus in the programme, including global Danish companies such as Grundfos, Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, Danfoss, Arla, and LEGO.

The duration of the GMM programme is three and a half years. The programme focuses on four main subject areas: manufacturing, quality, product development, and international business administration.

What is truly unique about GMM is that each student is affiliated with a company with which they collaborate closely from the third to the seventh semester. This scheme is called Company Connect, and it allows students to undertake tasks in relation to their studies and gives them a chance to try out theories, models, and concepts in the context of real-life problems in the company. In this way, students gain numerous opportunities to bridge theory and practice during their studies.

By extending their studies by an additional two years, students can take a master’s degree. At the Department of Business Development and Technology (BTECH), students can choose the MSc in Engineering – Technology Based Business Development. International degree programmes in engineering management, supply chain management, and management are also possible choices.

Students have many possibilities at BTECH. On campus, we offer accommodation for 400 students with facilities including a fitness room, a café, free internet and a laundry room. There are also sports activities at Campus Herning, and there is a Friday bar.
