Do you want to make a living out of your creative abilities? Are you eager to work within graphic design and marketing?


The Design, Technology and Business (Graphics) programme will be your chance to build on your creative talents and develop your graphic ability while gaining an insight into the entire process from idea to finished product. The programme combines practical work using graphic design software such as QuarkXPress, Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign with creative and aesthetic understanding of design processes. The first six months of the programme cover design, business and technology. After this you will continue on the graphics specialization.

You can also choose to extend your studies by 1.5 years with a top-up degree at UCN, earning a Professional Bachelor's Degree (PBA) in Digital Concept Development.

The programme consist of three main elements:

- The technology part. You will gain skills in graphic design programs:
• Illustrator
• Photoshop
• InDesign

- The creative/aesthetical part. You will gain competences in the design process:
• From idea to finished product

- The organizational part. You will gain relevant business knowledge about:
• Businesses
• Commerce
• Communication


The programme equips you to independently plan and carry out processes and tasks in business areas concerning graphic design and communication. For this reason, your job opportunities with an AP degree in Design, Technology and Business (Graphics) are waiting for you within:

The programme consists of 4 semesters worth a total of 120 ECTS credits under the European Credit Transfer System.

1st semester:
Compulsory components:
• Design
• Business
• Technology

2nd semester:
Design specialization:
• The design process
• Visual communication

• Trends and sociology

3rd semester:
Elective educational components.
The students will choose one elective e.g. Editorial Design or Digital Publishing.

4th semester:
• The three month internship in Denmark or abroad
• Final AP degree project
