The AP Degree Programme in Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management gives you the competencies to perform development work, daily operations, coordination work, management and marketing of services in the tourism, hotel and restaurant, or sport and event industries. The programme will also help you develop your communicative, cultural, linguistic and personal competencies to gain knowledge and understanding of the cultural and social conditions that affect the industry.
The programme is very practice-oriented, and the knowledge you acquire in the course of the study programme is closely related to the reality of the industry. This connection is further supported by a work placement taking place in Denmark or abroad in the third semester.
The programme is taught in English to Danish as well as international students. This will strengthen your language skills and give you valuable intercultural competencies as well as an international network.
You can also choose to extend your studies by 1.5 years with a top-up degree at UCN, earning a Professional Bachelor's Degree (PBA) in International Hospitality Management or Sport Management.


As a graduate of Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management, you can work in a number of different service enterprises such as hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, event bureaus, amusement parks, sport clubs and associations as well as holiday and conference centres. Possible work duties for you can be e.g.:


The programme consists of a compulsory part of four thematic elements worth 70 ECTS, an elective part counting another 20 ECTS, and a specialisation part.

Within the specialisation part, the student is required to carry out a 3-month internship in the 3rd semester in order to gain 15 ECTS. The internship takes place in a relevant business or organisation in Denmark or abroad.
The 4th semester ends with a final AP project worth 15 ECTS.
