Why did you choose to study in Denmark?
I actually was thinking to continue my education in Latvia, but then we got a presentation from Danish Business Academy. Since I have been always interested in marketing and I really like english, I thought why shouldn't I try something totally different and new.
What do you like most about studying in Denmark?
First of all, I like that my classmates are from different countries with different background - so it is a great opportunity and experience working together with them. We all have different meanings, but we always have to find out only one solution.
Secondly, I really like that we are using theories in practice. It is the best way how to memorize all of them, because if you use theory in practice, it is interesting and exciting and then you can see that actually all the models and theories are useful in real business life.
Furthermore, I like that studies are in english. So we get not only education, but we are developing our language skills all the time and that is a big benefit if we want to get a good job in the future.
What don't you like about studying in Denmark?
It is difficult to find out some negative points. I just know that sometimes maybe we should have a little more discipline.
What do you like most about Denmark and the Danes?
Denmark is a wealthy and peaceful country. I like that danish people are not so violent. Of course it depends on a person- it doesn't matter if you are a dane or latvian or from another nationality- there will always be some positive and unfortunately also some negative ones.
What don't you like about Denmark and the Danes?
I don't like just one sentence from some of the Danes (even if it is meant as a joke) - "All Eastern Europeans are the same"- meant in a negative sense.
Tell us about your best experience in Denmark
My best experience in Denmark was when I just came here. I didn't realize the diversity of me and my classmates. I had never been thinking that there is so huge difference, but when I started to communicate with others, sometimes I could feel that I should just keep my mouth shut. :)
Do you have some advice on Danish student life in general?
If you want to survive and get success in here, don't be afraid of your ideas and opinion. If you don't try, you will never get to know if they were good or not.
Have you got a personal webpage or a blog which you would like to be added to your testimonial?
