Why did you choose to study in Denmark ?

My case is probably unique, because we actually did not choose Denmark
- we chose a programme which included a period of study in Denmark.

What do you like most about studying in Denmark ?

I think the openness and free spirit of Danish people.

What don't you like about studying in Denmark ?

Haven't found it out yet.

What do you like most about Denmark and the Danes?

Its general attitude to criticism and critical opinions. I find people's confidence and courage to confront with different, and sometime critical opinions are the most impressive characteristics in Danish people for me. I trust this good mentality also helps Denmark correct its mistakes smoothly so that the society can always make a progress.
These are the rare merits you don't always find in other countries in general. I think this derives from the confidence of Danes in your culture and your country.
I also like Danes being open-minded and non-aggressive.

What don't you like about Denmark and the Danes?

I think the kids perhaps drink too much at a young age.

Tell us about your best experience in Denmark

I was invited to a Danish family to celebrate Christmas together.
Among the guests were me (Chinese), a Kenyan chap and the South African boyfriend of the family's youngest daughter. We sang Danish songs, had Danish rice pudding, waved Danish flags and danced around the Christmas tree. I did enjoy very much the feeling of "hygge" in the Danish family, with an international flavour.

Do you have some advice on danish student life in general?

If Danish students don't take initiative to talk to you, don't take for granted that they are cold. They are just shy. Actually they are very warm-hearted and open-minded.
