Why did you choose to study in Denmark?

Compared to other European countries and North America, Denmark is one of the nicest to foreign students. People here are neither pushing you nor very harsh, but on most occasions are quite understanding. Instead of worrying about being fired everyday to work hard, we can focus on the research we are genuinely interested in. With abundant resources and support, we can also be equally productive without stress. The tranquility and sufficient reward in Denmark attract me the most.

What do you like most about studying in Denmark?

In every course there is actually no limit to how deep you can dig into the subject. The best thing is that you can learn so much more than the basic requirements of the course, because most courses in Denmark include projects. You choose one of the subjects and after all your efforts you can be proud to say that you are an expert on this topic.

What don't you like about studying in Denmark?

It will take me decades to find out what I don't like!

What do you like most about Denmark and the Danes?

The security is incredible due to the highly civilised society. The general level of English amongst the Danes is awesome.

Tell us about your best experience in Denmark

In 2007, together with my classmates in the course of Engineering Geology I went on an excursion for a week in Skarrehage. During that trip I saw no boundaries between Danish students and international students. We hiked, worked and partied together. That is my first experience so close to Danish students, after which I started to be interested in hanging out with the Danish guys I know. That was the beginning of my obsession with Danish culture and style.

Do you have some advice on Danish student life in general?

First be open, and practise drinking beers, then you may enjoy every single day in Denmark with your Danish friends. They are really the ones being referred to as ‘friends in need’.
