Towards the end of this century, there will be about 10 billion people on Earth. This means there is a need for an increased food production. Combined with the climate changes there will be a greater pressure on nature and the environment.
This programme focuses on the need for using natural resources for agricultural production in a way that respects both nature and the environment. You will gain an overall understanding of the processes in the open country and the interaction with the agricultural production methods.
You will study topics such as
- Environmental impact of agricultural production
- Climate changes
- Water environment
- Ground resources
- Society
Teaching varies between lectures, classroom instruction and project work in groups. Students are encouraged to participate in class discussions. Classroom instructions will primarily be based on case studies and problem-oriented work in small groups.
The final 6 months you will be making your MSc thesis.
Agro-Environmental Management can be studied as a:

You also have the possibility to take single courses or subjects within the programme.
Graduation from the master's degree programme confers the title Master of Science (MSc).
