Summer School: Aarhus University School of Engineering
The summer school programmes at Aarhus University School of Engineering are very popular. Each year students from across the world travel to Denmark to explore a specific area of expertise and gain insight into the latest knowledge in the field. Only the best students in the field get the opportunity to participate. The main objectives of the summer schools are to challenge students to:
- use and develop their engineering qualifications within an industrial setting

Conceptual design and development of innovative products
Time: 1 – 19 July, Shanghai
This course takes students out of their conventional class-room environment and places them in a real, dynamic industrial environment emphasizing problem-based learning in a multidisciplinary setting. During the first week, focus is on how you get from an open idea for a new, multidisciplinary product to the use innovation to come up with a concept and a prototype. In the remaining two weeks, focus is on how you take the conceptual idea to the stage of a technical feasibility study and prototyping for a final concept presentation.

Biofuel Production Technology
Time: 4 - 16 August 2013
The overall goal with this intensive programme is to give the students a substantial knowledge of biofuel production technologies. Having completed the course with successful outcome, the student will have obtained an understanding of and insight into different biofuel production technologies. 5 - 17 August 2012 24 June to 13 July 2012 Conceptual design and development of innovative products.

Power
Time: 4 - 16 August 2013
The Power course focuses on giving you insights into how to help design future power grids? The course covers the entire process from power production to consumer consumption. The overall subjects of the course are balancing, stability, reliability and power quality of the future power system in relation to power production, transmission, distribution and power consumption.

Smart District Energy
Time: 4 - 16 August 2013
The overall goal of this summer school is to give the students a substantial knowledge of district energy technology and enable the student to apply his/her own engineering competences to analyse district energy technology.Are you interested in reduction of energy use, reduction of carbon emissions and smart use of heat and power, this is the course for you.

Summer School Siemens Wind Power
Time: 4 - 16 August 2013
The course in Wind Turbine Technology is offered in close cooperation with representatives from the wind turbine industry in Denmark, Aarhus University School of Engineering. The aim is to enable participants to apply their engineering competences to wind turbine technology problems and gain an insight into the functioning of turbines and the interaction between the different sub-components and their demand profiles.
