The academy is one of the leading institutions in conservation in Europe and offers study programmes in the preservation of our common cultural heritage as represented in writing, images and buildings, etc. Graduates find employment at museums, archives, libraries, etc.
The academy research library is the largest in northern Europe, offering comprehensive services to the conservation and restoration profession. The school is a founding member of the European Network for Conservation-Restoration Education and collaborates with institutions of higher education and end-users worldwide. The academy has acted as the coordinator of several EU-funded research projects.
