The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) offers three-year Bachelor's programmes (BMus) and two-year Master's programmes (MMus) in which the students specialise in a particular field or instrument. Following the Master's degree, the graduate is able to apply for admission to the Advanced Postgraduate programme which has the duration of two years, and concludes with a public debut concert.The Royal Danish Opera Academy is also affiliated with RDAM.

About the Degree

Practical ensemble conducting will form an important part of the student's education. Here the student will be able to work intensively to develop and perfect his/hers conducting technique, and be coached in artistic interpretation and implementation.


EU/EEA applicants must attend a live entrance examination when applying to Bachelor's and Master's level. Applicants from outside the EU/EEA must apply online with a recording of their audition when applying to this level.

All applicants to Postgraduate level must attend the live auditions no matter their citizenship.

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students, who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA. Students enrolled within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
