In the coming decades, energy systems worldwide will undergo major changes and their stability and environmental, economic and social sustainability will be crucial. The Technical University of Denmarkis at the cutting edge in Europe and offers a high-level study programme in sustainable energy systems. The aim of the special MSc programme in Sustainable Energy is to make the student an expert in various energy technologies and systems with the focus on sustainability. The special MSc programme consists of a first semester with three courses covering the main aspects of sustainable energy systems:
  • Energy Economics, Markets and Policies
  • Modelling and Analysis of Sustainable Energy Systems using Operations Research
  • Energy and Sustainability
Within this framework, the student can choose between six study lines. Access to the study lines is conditional on meeting entrance requirements, although some of these skills can be obtained during the courses.

This MSc paves the way for a wide range of job opportunities in industry, government and research. Professional tasks include the implementation of sustainable energy technologies within existing or new energy systems, with energy system modelling and evaluation of impacts on ecosystems and society.

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA/Switzerland. Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Danmarks Tekniske Universitet's hovedadresse ligger i Lyngby 10 kilometer nord for København, og det er primært her at DTU studerende bliver undervist. Du kan tage turen til DTU i Lyngby med bil eller ved hjælp af offentlige transportmidler. Der kører flere busser næsten lige til døren og Lyngby Station ligger 2 km. væk, men også her er der gode busforbindelser, f.eks. bus nr. 300S mod Nærum eller bus nr. 190. Begge har stoppested på Anker Engelunds Vej.
