Electrical engineering is essential for maintaining and developing a modern society. From the production of electricity through the multiplicity of electrical and electronic devices to mobile communications and robotics, electrical engineering is fundamental to many of the technical systems that we use every day at work and at home.

Technical University of Denmark offers an application-oriented and research-based MSc in Electrical Engineering. The programme is a collaboration between several departments at the university, coordinated by Electrical Engineering. The programme covers all aspects of the subject from theory and methodology through components and systems to applications. The applications include acoustics, satellites, robots and wind turbines. The courses vary from highly theoretical to extremely practical courses with the opportunity for experimental work in advanced laboratories. The final master’s thesis project will be associated with current research at the university and/or in collaboration with a company. Technical University of Denmark offers a broad range of courses facilitating high-quality individualized study with a substantial element of theory alongside practical work in the laboratory.

Career Opportunities 

With a MSc in Electrical Engineering, you will obtain the qualifications that are typically required for research and development engineers in the private sector. The Danish electrical engineering industry spans a wide variety of fields - including production and development within such areas as electric power, audiology, medical electronics, mobile communication, radar technology and satellite communication.

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA/Switzerland. Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Danmarks Tekniske Universitet's hovedadresse ligger i Lyngby 10 kilometer nord for København, og det er primært her at DTU studerende bliver undervist. Du kan tage turen til DTU i Lyngby med bil eller ved hjælp af offentlige transportmidler. Der kører flere busser næsten lige til døren og Lyngby Station ligger 2 km. væk, men også her er der gode busforbindelser, f.eks. bus nr. 300S mod Nærum eller bus nr. 190. Begge har stoppested på Anker Engelunds Vej.
