The infrastructure of modern society is based on information technology. IT forms an integral part of our everyday lives and today no enterprise is possible without computers and communication equipment.

Computer Science and Engineering considers the design and use of computing components, software or hardware to solve technical problems in an efficient and competitive way. The focus is on understanding and choosing the right abstractions, thus making it possible to implement IT solutions from existing and future components.

The MSc in Computer Science and Engineering programme will educate you to become a highly qualified engineer capable of developing complex IT systems, consisting of hardware and/or software, using theoretically and technologically well-founded methods, tools and techniques.

Technical University of Denmark has a strong and growing IT environment with competences in areas of great importance for the value-growth and productivity of industry, academia and society. This covers areas such as safe and secure systems, system integration, distributed and embedded systems, networks, software engineering, algorithms and logic, system-on-chip, and digital systems.

Career Opportunities 

Masters in Computer Science and Engineering can use, develop and produce IT systems at a high technical level, making them particularly attractive to both Danish and international companies and organizations. Masters therefore typically find employment in a wide variety of Danish and international companies that work with IT, electronics and communication.

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA/Switzerland. Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.

Danmarks Tekniske Universitet's hovedadresse ligger i Lyngby 10 kilometer nord for København, og det er primært her at DTU studerende bliver undervist. Du kan tage turen til DTU i Lyngby med bil eller ved hjælp af offentlige transportmidler. Der kører flere busser næsten lige til døren og Lyngby Station ligger 2 km. væk, men også her er der gode busforbindelser, f.eks. bus nr. 300S mod Nærum eller bus nr. 190. Begge har stoppested på Anker Engelunds Vej.
