Physics in interaction with mathematicsAt the master programme in Physics & Mathematics you will study mechanics, relativity theory, astrophysics, condensed matter physics, quantum mechanics, electrodynamics, thermodynamics and statistical mechanics. You will work with geometry, probability calculations and statistics, the fundamental structures of mathematics, as well as selected examples of advanced topics in the field of advanced mathematics.
The programme will provide you with the skills to identify, formalise, analyse, evaluate and solve problems within physics and mathematics independently or in cooperation with others. You will learn to understand, develop, implement and evaluate experimental studies, simulations, physical reasoning or mathematical proofs, and to understand, develop, apply and evaluate qualitative and/or quantitative models within the subjects.
You finish the programme by writing an interdisciplinary master thesis.
