Description

This course brings together students from different countries and different subject areas to create a multinational and interdisciplinary teaching environment. The title of this year’s Summer Course in Narrativity, Fictionality and Factuality is: Counter-narratives in Organizations. This summer course aims at discovering new areas of application for narratives, with specific focus on “counter-narrative”. The course brings together students from different countries and different subject areas to create a multinational and interdisciplinary teaching environment. The students will learn to approach an interdisciplinary topic critically and analytically. The course will provide an introduction to narratives and their applications for organizational communication in private and public companies, organisations and institutions. Topics covered include the role of narratives in organizational identity, managers’ communication and employee interaction, as well as communication to external stakeholders through advertising, branding and social media. Theories and models for managing various organizational genres and situations will be introduced.

About the Degree

This is a summer course that counts 5 or 10 ECTS. 

Admission

  • You must be enrolled in a university programme at the time of the AU Summer University
  • If you are applying for admission to AU Summer University courses at the Master level, you must hold a relevant Bachelor's degree (or as a minimum 180 ECTS in your study programme
  • The application deadline is March 15th
