With a specialisation in Latin American Studies you open the door to a variety of professional career possibilities where Latin America is a central component in international trade, regional & multilateral institutions, the public sector, NGOs, etc.Latin American Studies provides a broad understanding of contemporary and historical issues in Latin America's development, as well as the scale of Latin America's impact on the world economy and global relations.
The Latin American Studies programme consists of a number of lectures on MA level aimed at introducing topics in a problem-based and interdisciplinary manner. Through this approach students will be capable of comprehending and analysing Latin America related issues in a holistic and coherent combination.

Latin American Studies (LAS) is an interdisciplinary specialisation. A bachelor’s degree in social sciences or humanities such as History, Human Geography, Law, Anthropology, Languages and International Studies (SIS) or Communication and Cultural Studies qualifies for admission.In addition, documentation may be required verifying that your proficiency in English is at a specified level.
