Description

Medicine with Industrial Specialisation is a two year Master´s programme. The education is implemented as a series of courses and problem-based project work. Depending on which profile you choose various topics are covered:
  • The profile in Biomedicine covers Molecular pathogenesis, Genomics, Proteomics and bioinformatics in disease and diagnostics, Regulatory and ethical aspects of clinical research, Immuno- and molecular therapy and Regenerative medicine.
  • The profile in Translational Medicine covers Genomics, Proteomics and bioinformatics in disease and diagnostics, Current research topics in modern pharmacology, Economics of health and health care, Regulatory and ethical aspects of clinical research, Immuno- and molecular therapy, Perspectives of clinical trials in drug and Medical device development.
  • The profile in Medical Market Access covers Quality development and patient safety, Principles of marketing and marketing management, Regulatory and ethical aspects of clinical research, Economics of health technologies and technology assessment, Non-experimental research design and analysis.

Career Opportunities  

A Master of Science (MSc) in Medicine with Industrial Specialisation holds many job opportunities both within the pharmaceutical industry, where there are major challenges in the development, customization and sale of pharmaceuticals and diagnostics and in hospitals in administrative or technical positions.

A career in research and science (Ph.D.) is also an option.
 

Admission  

Potential candidates are students with a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Biotechnology, Molecular Medicine or the like. Students with another Bachelor's degree, upon application to the Board of Studies, will be admitted after a specific academic assessment if the applicant is deemed to have comparable educational prerequisites.

The University can stipulate requirements concerning conducting additional exams prior to the start of study.
 

In addition, documentation will be required to verify that your proficiency in English is at an acceptable level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA/Switzerland.

Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
