DescriptionAcoustics and Audio Technology is a two year master programme with problem based learning, group work and each semester a new supervised project. As a students of the programme you are given a broad background in Acoustics and Audio Technology, with options for involvement in the research activities of Aalborg University.
You will have access to facilities of a very high standard, incl. anechoic rooms, standard listening rooms, listening cabins, audiometry room, infrasound chamber, an auditory virtual reality workbench, and high quality measurement equipment and signal processing equipment.
The curriculum covers such subjects as Human sound perception and audio engineering, Fundamentals of acoustics and electro-acoustics, Architectural and Environmental Acoustics and Applied experimental psychology and psychophysics.

Candidates pursue careers in consulting, development and research engineering in various fields of acoustics in the industry for sound and audio products, for instance:
- Hearing aids
- Mobile phones
- Audio equipment
- Measurement equipment.
Students with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent can apply to the Master's programme in Acoustics and Audio Technology at Aalborg University. Applicants with other Bachelor degrees (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Media Technology, etc.) will be subject to individual evaluation. Proficiency in English is a prerequisite.

TuitionThere is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA/Switzerland.
