Would you like to work in the area of chemistry and molecular biology? The master programme Chemistry + Molecular Biology will provide you with knowledge, skills and expertise in chemistry and molecular biology, as well as theoretical and practical skills to solve problems. You will learn to use your professional qualifications in complex situations.
You will learn about organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry, chemical thermodynamics, kinetics, quantum chemistry, spectroscopy, biological chemistry and physical chemical methods. You will learn about cell biology and physiology, molecular genetics, biochemistry, genetic and protein engineering and bio-informatics.
The programme will provide you with the skills to identify, formalise, analyse, evaluate and solve problems within chemistry and molecular biology independently or in cooperation with others. You will be trained to identify and define problem issues within the subjects and to develop testable hypotheses on a scientific basis, and also to select, implement and evaluate experimental studies or simulations.
You finish the programme by writing an interdisciplinary master thesis and you have the possibility to write it as an experimental 60 ECTS master thesis during 3. and 4. semester.
CareerThe programme offers you a wide range of job opportunities in:
