The year 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of Danish composer Carl Nielsen. The event will be celebrated in Denmark throughout the year and the world's leading orchestras and ensembles will together honour this great composer.

Alongside his great symphonies, Carl Nielsen wrote a number of solo concertos, chamber music works and songs that are considered standard repertoire. This Summer Campus provides an excellent platform for students to gain knowledge about Nielsen's works and to work with specialists within this repertoire
. In addition, Summer Campus will provide an excellent platform for the preparation for the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition for String Quartets and Wind Quintets held i Copenhagen in October 2015.
