Description

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) offers two-year Master's programmes (MMus) in which the students specialise in a particular field or instrument.

Following the Master's degree, the graduate is able to apply for admission to the Advanced Postgraduate programme which has the duration of two years, and concludes with a public debut concert.

The Royal Danish Opera Academy is also affiliated with RDAM.

Career Opportunities

Irrespectively of whether the ambition is to teach or perform, practical experience will form an integrated part of the study programme. The Academy has practical training agreements with National professional orchestras and ensembles, beside that RDAM collaborates with the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, The Royal Theatre, music schools and many other actors affiliated with the professional music scene in Denmark. 

Admission  

EU/EEA applicants must apply online and attend to a live entrance examination when applying for Master's level. Non-EU/EEA applicants must submit an online application and an audition recording.

Study programmes within music and music pedagogy at the highest level

Description

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) offers programmes in music performance, Instrument and Voice, as well as in Composition, Conducting and Sound Engineering, and electives in subjects such as Pedagogy and Church Music. The Faculty aims to foster and develop student’s individual artistic profile and technical skills drawing on a solid pedagogical foundation and years of artistic professional experience.

All Programmes are taught in English, which is also spoken by both Faculty and students.

RDAM has an extensive international network and cooperates with some of the world’s leading music academies. Students are ach year offered masterclasses with internationally renowned artists and educators both in person and through Advanced Audio Network Technology that connects RDAM to music academies across the globe. With more than 50% international students and a nationally diverse Faculty, RDAM is a great starting point for students embarking on an international career.
