DescriptionThe Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) offers three-year Bachelor's programmes (BMus) and two-year Master's programmes (MMus) in which the students specialise in a particular field or instrument. Following the Master's degree, the graduate is able to apply for admission to the Advanced Postgraduate programme which has the duration of two years, and concludes with a public debut concert.The Royal Danish Opera Academy is also affiliated with RDAM.

Career OpportunitiesDuring the studies, the student will gain qualifications in music, production and sound technique within the genres of both rhythmic contemporary and classical music. The student usually specialises by genre/sector or focus on the role of producer or sound technician. RDAM also has a close collaboration with the Danish Broadcasting Cooperation (DR).
About the DegreeThe principal study is in music production and recording techniques. Tuition is also provided in aural studies, basic piano, music theory, history of music and much more. In addition to semester projects, set productions and optional subjects, the student is able to participate in study trips, master classes, music evenings, company visits, listening tests, etc
AdmissionEU/EEA applicants must attend a live entrance examination when applying to Bachelor's and Master's level. Applicants from outside the EU/EEA must apply online with a recording of their audition when applying to this level.
All applicants to Postgraduate level must attend the live auditions no matter their citizenship.

TuitionThere is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students who hold a citizenship from outside EU/EAA. Students enrolled within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
