Description

What is Danish pedagogical work with children and young people? Learn about the Danish child-centered tradition for pedagogical work and the tradition of working with aesthetical and creative modes of expression. This course includes lectures, creative workshops, fieldwork and comparative pedagogical studies, all aimed at developing your intercultural understanding and competencies.

The course gives you experience and competency in conducting comparisons between different European countries within the field of social work. Furthermore, you will get an intercultural understanding and communication skills as a part of your education.

Admission

Students must have completed 2 years at BA level before entering the course. The course is in English at BA level - documentation may be required verifying that your proficiency in English match this level.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students outside EU, EAA, or from Switzerland. Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition. When applying for a course, please check whether your university has a bilateral agreement with UCC. In order to receive an official referral to study at UCC, please contact the International Office at your university. UCC is an Erasmus Charter institution.

Without an exchange programme there is a tuition fee of approx. 3450 Euro (2015 price level)

Social Education, Frøbel

Description

Social Education Frøbel offer practice placements, course work, and/or field studies within social education (either social pedagogy, special pedagogy or early childhood pedagogy).

Department of Social Education Frøbel offer an open and inviting study environment both academically and socially.

The department moved in 2014 from Frederiksberg to a new location in Carlsberg City District. From August 2016 Frøbel will be a part of UCC's Campus Carlsberg. Until the new campus will be ready in 2016, Frøbel will stay in a combination of existing and temporary buidings in Carlsberg City District.

UCC is establishing an attractive educational institution covering more than 55,000 square metres in Copenhagen. The new campus will be centrally located in close proximity to the future Carlsberg S-train station. More than 10,000 students and approx. 800 members of staff will be able to enjoy Campus Carlsberg on a daily basis.
