The full bachelor programmes are provided in Danish and courses in English are available.
The bachelor programmes consists of a theoretical and a practical component, and lasts 3½ or 4 years. The practical part always takes the form of an internship or a training period at a workplace.

We also offer a wide range of supplementary diplomas in the fields of teaching, pedagogy, health, organization and management, and we supply consulting services as well as tailored educational and development courses to schools, institutions, municipalities and businesses. Through research programmes and developmental projects, UCC helps graduates overcome some of the specific welfare challenges faced in their daily working lives.  

UCC has around 10,000 BA students, 5,500 postgraduate or supplementary students and 1,000 staff members. UCC was established i 2008 and is one of seven university colleges in Denmark.

At UCC, we adopt a democratic approach to learning, where teachers and students meet as equals. Our study method comprises lectures, self-study and group work. Description

What is childhood from a Nordic perspective? Learn about experiential learning in Denmark and Norway. Discover how children learn through activities that integrate play, movement, nature and outdoor education and practise organising didactic courses and activities for children. The course includes field work and visits to the Norwegian landscape, which is viewed as a place for play and experiential learning.

The course is organised in collaboration with Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences.
The course will run from mid-August to mid-December. The basic course is 20 ECTS, with an optional add-on of 10 ECTS.

Description

How can we use fairy tales and legends in education? Lean about stories as cultural and artistic expressions and examine their use from a didactic perspective. Explore myths, fairy tales, sociological, religious and structural theories, drama, theatre, puppet-making, story-telling and creative writing.

This course includes visits and excursions and is organised in collaboration with Oslo and Akershus University College of Applied Sciences. The course will run from mid-August to mid-December; 6,5 weeks in Copenhagen and 6,5 weeks in Oslo. The basic course is 20 ECTS, with an optional add-on of 10 ECTS.

Description

Social Education Frøbel offer practice placements, course work, and/or field studies within social education (either social pedagogy, special pedagogy or early childhood pedagogy).

Department of Social Education Frøbel offer an open and inviting study environment both academically and socially.

The department moved in 2014 from Frederiksberg to a new location in Carlsberg City District. From August 2016 Frøbel will be a part of UCC's Campus Carlsberg. Until the new campus will be ready in 2016, Frøbel will stay in a combination of existing and temporary buidings in Carlsberg City District.

The new campus will be centrally located in close proximity to the future Carlsberg S-train station. We welcome exchange students from all our partner institutions to UCC's department of teacher education Zahle. We are located in the centre of Copenhagen close to Nørreport Station and with less than 20 minutes to the airport if you go by metro.
