During the 3½-year programme in Global Nutrition and Health students will acquire the tools needed to work with the complex challenges posed by today’s global nutrition and health issues. Special emphasis is therefor given to teaching within an intercultural context.

DescriptionThe programme in Global Nutrition and Health focuses on the global challenges of health promotion and disease prevention on both a community and individual level.You learn to develop and implement policies and strategies that promote a healthy lifestyle among citizens on a national and international level. You also learn to independently plan, implement and evaluate tasks, projects and interventions that promote health and prevent disease.

A multi-faceted approach
With a Bachelor's Degree in Global Nutrition and Health you will be qualified to work with a multi-faceted approach to solve very complex problems on the structural perspective in society or on the individual level. You will be qualified to work independently and in teams as well as in multicultural contexts in both private and public settings.
Your competencies with a Public Health Nutrition & Food Policy specialisationThe specialisation is aimed at qualifying you to promote public health and food security through the implementation of comprehensive food and nutrition policies using communication, education and management strategies. You can work with individual citizens, communities and societies at a local, regional or global level.
Your competencies with a Lifestyle and Health specialisation
The specialisation is aimed at qualifying you to plan and carry out health promoting, disease preventing and motivating activities through communication, teaching and management relevant to the individual with the aim of a lasting improvement of lifestyle. In all activities you can incorporate relevant lifestyle factors such as eating habits, physical activity, weight management etc.
AdmissionThe Bachelor's Degree Programme in Global Nutrition and Health welcomes students from all over the world. The programme has intake once a year with study start on 1 September. Induction activities run in the last week of August.
