Zealand - Academy of Technologies and Business

  • ZEALAND Campus Næstved is located in the southern part of the island of Zealand, approximately 1 hour by train from down-town Copenhagen.

    The campus facilities
    Zealand in Næstved is a modern building located by the vibrant life at the docks, which corresponds with the Zealand way of thought, and makes it a part of the developing business life in the city.

    The campus facilities offer different student labs, which the students can use for their academic work and own personal projects. At Campus Næstved you can find the Student Hub, which is an information and counselling service for students, run by current students from Zealand.

    We encourage students to spend their personal study time at the Student Hub, where there are good opportunities for relevant feedback from other students and for help from the teaching staff.

    The study environment
    Zealand in Næstved focuses on creating an academically rewarding as well as a safe and supporting extracurricular environment for all our students. We have a strong emphasis on building intercultural competencies in both students and staff, and on mixing international with Danish student activities, whenever possible.

    Campus Næstved allocates a lot of resources and attention to catering for our students' needs. We have a modern study environment with stimulating academic learning, and forward-looking teaching methods.

    We value a close relationship with the surrounding business life, and many of our teachers have extensive experience from the business sector as well as high academic qualifications.

    Zealand in Næstved offers modern facilities to all students such as wireless internet, creative labs, and open learning areas. In addition to this, student life does not end when class is over, and international students are often faced not only with academic challenges, but also with the challenge of living in another country. Like the rest of Zealand, Campus Næstved has an “open door”policy towards our students, and the staff is available around the clock for talks about everything from academic goals to i.e. how to get an appointment with a dentist.

    The city of Næstved
    Næstved is the fourth largest town in Zealand. It is located only 45 minutes by train from Copenhagen, and its roots run as far back as 400-500 BC. Its location by the water has made the town attractive for trade and commerce dating back as far as the 12th century, hence making Næstved one of the oldest cities in Denmark.

    Næstved is viewed as the cultural centre of the Southern Zealand-region with various museums, concert-venues, theatres and exhibitions of all kinds during the year. The city and the surrounding area offer a wide variety of attractions for all ages, such as nature experiences and a large fores, that also host one of Denmark’s most visited amusement parks.

  • ZEALAND Campus Køge is located in Greater Copenhagen south of Copenhagen, approximately half an hour by metro-train from down-town Copenhagen.

    The Campus
    Zealand in Køge is a well-established institution with close ties to Danish and international business life. Our campus in Køge is newly built, and it was opened for staff and students in August 2020.

    It is easily accessible by public transport with trains departing to and from Copenhagen Central Station to the newly built “Køge Nord Station” (2019) every 10 minutes, and is situated in a campus environment with other local educational institutions.

    Campus Køge has a modern study environment for international students with stimulating academic learning facilities, and forward-looking teaching methods, where students can express themselves creatively, academically and socially.

    The campus has a specific focus on developing entrepreneurial skills in all students by focusing on creativity, independence and a willingness to start their own business.

    The study environment
    At Campus Køge students are at the centre of the learning process, and they are required to actively participate and collaborate in developing ideas and projects and presenting learning processes and results to lecturers and fellow students.

    The study environment is a mixture of formal lectures, project weeks, showcases (presentations), and informal independent working periods, where students are required to discuss, collaborate and develope their project work independently. Supervision is readily available from a mix of lecturers.

    Campus Køge also focuses on the use of social media to enhance personal, work and global network building and communication. Students are encouraged to build global networks to assess new market opportunities, to learn from colleagues abroad, and to develope a solid sharing and learning network.

    These cross-educational themes are integrated into all our educational programmes and they add value to all our programmes and to all students, who graduate from Campus Køge and join the labour market or start their own businesses.

    The city of Køge
    Køge is an old commercial city in the eastern part of the Zealand Region and it is one of the larger nerve centres that connect the cities of Copenhagen, Roskilde, Ringsted and Næstved.

    The town offers great possibilities for shopping in exciting medieval surroundings and with woodlands and beaches nearby in cycling distance; a great time is never far away. Køge is a city that has something of everything, and it aspires to connect a lively academic environment with a thriving business community. Therefore, Køge is an exciting place to start ones career, because the opportunity often lives next door.

  • ZEALAND Campus Roskilde is located in Greater Copenhagen, approximately 20 minutes by regional train from down-town Copenhagen.

    The Campus Zealand in Roskilde has a long and proud history, but offers modern and study-friendly facilities.
    Its tradition dates back to 1869, where Zealand was founded as Roskilde Business College. The college has been an important part of the educational sector in Roskilde for more than a century. In 2008, Roskilde Business College became part of Zealand, the fifth largest academy in Denmark. Zealand in Roskilde is located in the city of Roskilde, which is only 20 minutes by train from Denmark's capital city, Copenhagen.

    Campus Roskilde is the largest campus in Zealand Academy, and today we have more than 1,000 students in total – a number that is increasing every year. Roskilde has today developed into being one of the most important educational hubs in Denmark, and the institutions as well as the students benefit from a strong and diverse educational environment.

    The study environment Campus Roskilde allocates a lot of resources and attention to catering for the growing number of international students. We have a modern study environment for international students, with stimulating academic learning, combined with elements of general education, social competence and forward-looking teaching methods.

    Zealand in Roskilde supports and caters for international students as they are studying and learning in a different educational environment than what they are used to at the same time as  having to live in a completely new country and new surroundings. Furthermore, we support our students in reaching their study goal, and the teachers conduct individual talks with the students, giving each student the opportunity to discuss learning goals, career goals etc. We call it SDI – Student Development Interviews.

    At campus Roskilde there are many student driven organizations that focus on both social and political activities. Here, interested students can influence both the campus and the academic life. Students are also responsible for the parties and the cafés on campus via the infamous Zealand Zoo Bar.

    The city of Roskilde The city of Roskilde is one of the larger cities in the Zealand Region and it has a vast history to its name as one of the oldest cities in Denmark. Roskilde is associated with the old kings and queens of Denmark, and it plays a major part in Danish Viking history. Oh, and of course Roskilde hosts the world famous Roskilde Festival – the biggest music festival in Northern Europe.

    Its rich history and colorful cultural life makes Roskilde a very exciting city to live in. So whether you fancy art, castles, music, golf, swimming, skateboarding, skiing, horseback riding or want to try a formula one-simulator, Roskilde has it all.
