DescriptionThe Bachelor Programme in Value Chain Management provides you with skills and knowledge needed to manage the way businesses receive raw materials as input, add value to the raw materials through various processes and sell finished products to customers. In other words, you will learn how to analyze, improve and innovate value chains in global business environments. The aim of this programme is, thus, to provide students with tools to give them a good overview of these networks of processes. You will learn all the different perspectives of the process from buying raw materials and producing the goods to how to distribute and market them.
Career OpportunitiesThe degree in Value Chain Management prepares students for careers in businesses and the industrial sector. The typical areas of employment are in international companies that is providing services in:
- Production management
- Strategic management.
- Production development.
About the DegreeThe programme in Value Chain Management is a professional bachelor's degree. Professional bachelor degrees have a curriculum in large part made up of career and practice oriented training. The programme prepares students for direct employment within professions of industry, education, commerce, health, etc.
Professional bachelor degrees do not exclude access to subsequent degrees (e.g. a Master). In some cases a bridging programme or supplementary courses might be necessary.
AdmissionTo be admitted to this programme, you must hold a certificate showing, that you have passed high school/upper secondary school, with examination results.
In addition, you must provide documentation of your current English language level. VIA accepts the TOEFL test, the TOEIC test, the IELTS test or the Cambridge ESOL test.
Applicants who are native speakers or have proof of secondary school education from the UK, Australia, the USA, Canada and New Zealand are exempt from the English language admission requirements.

TuitionThere is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students from outside the EU, EEA or Switzerland.
The tuition fees are:
- EUR 5,000 per semester each for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th semesters.
- For 5th semester (the practical placement period) the tuition fee is EUR 800.
