DescriptionDuring the first semester, all BA students follow the same compulsory programme to make sure you cover a variety of disciplines within the area of design and business.
After the first semester, we focus on the Branding and Marketing Management speciality.
During the sixth semester, all BA top-up students have a compulsory placement period for at least nine weeks. The period takes place in a private company of your own choice and involves various disciplines.
You finish your BA top-up with a written assignment followed by an oral examination. The assignment starts from a formulation of a problem made by you in collaboration with a company, and you spend the entire semester on this.
This programme is also offered as an exchange programme.
Career OpportunitiesApart from developing communication strategies, you will also be able to produce various communication-oriented activities, for instance press releases and other texts to different media. You also have the possibility to end up in a specialized position where you could be responsible for the company’s website or its communication strategy in social media.
About the DegreeCommunication & Media Strategy gives you an insight in the latest communication forms and media. In this way, you are well prepared to communication messages in a relevant way in order for them to reach the target group. You also learn to work with the company’s website and to write texts. You can act and work specifically with the strategies defined for the social media, which are and will continue to be a larger part of many companies’ communication strategy.
AdmissionTo be eligible to apply for the international BA top-up degree you need to have completed one of the programmes from the list below.
- An AP Degree in Design, Technology and Business, AP Degree in Multimedia Design & Communication, AP Degree in Production Technology, AP Degree in Marketing Management or similar
- 6th semester from The Danish Design School or from The Kolding School of Design.
- A needlework teacher exam or an exam from an internationally acknowledged design school
- A Bachelor in either Design or Business from an international university/university college.
All international, non-native English speakers must send an English language test certificate from IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge or other tests of an equivalent standard.
All Danish students must complete English at a B-level according to the level system in Danish secondary schools or equivalent proof of English skills.
