DescriptionThe programme in Retail Design and Management teaches you to design, furnish and manage retail stores within the fashion and lifestyle sector. You learn to manage trends and consumer behaviour, as a result you are able to assist in designing the store concept for specific target groups. You learn how to analyse a store concept and interpret the results afterwards. Also, you learn to transform knowledge into sales.
The programme is organised to give you a broad knowledge of different disciplines within the fashion and lifestyle sector, for example design, marketing, purchasing and production as well as a profound introduction to your chosen speciality.
Career OpportunitiesWith an AP degree in Retail Design and Management, you have the chance to work as an assistant to the retail designer or retail manager. Your job may be to improve the operations and daily routines of a store as well as developing and improving retail concepts. As a retail manager’s assistant you learn to apply management tools in running the business. Additionally, your job may be to sketch, trim and decorate a retail store, in order to make its visual appearance agree with the values of the store chain.
Several AP degree graduates choose to do a BA top-up, which gives you access to a wider range of career prospects.
About the DegreeThe Academy Profession programmes combine theory with practice and are suited for employment in business and industry. In some programmes students have the possibility of a top-up degree in which they continue at a bachelor level within a prespecified or related field. The top-up degree is a 90 ECTS supplement programme resulting in a Professional Bachelor Degree.
AdmissionTo be admitted to this programme, you must hold a general upper secondary school diploma or a vocational diploma, or the international equivalent.
You are also required to have obtained mathematics/economics corresponding to a Danish level C - and English corresponding to a Danish level B. Read more about the requirements here.

TuitionThere is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students from outside the EU, EEA, Switzerland and Turkey.
The tuition fees are:
- 1st year (1st and 2nd semester): EUR 12.000.
- 2nd year (3rd and 4th semester): EUR 12.000.
